Why clean the equipment?

Dirt can lead to a degradation of the equipment and germs can negatively impact the health of our athletes. Especially in this time of covid-19 we are taking extra time to disinfect high touch surfaces. Cleaning dirt and debris on equipment is also a standard recommendation from boat and oar manufacturers alike.
